About the Powell Bourbon Club
The PBC was started in early 2020, just after the start of the pandemic. A handful of like-minded individuals, with a large interest in Bourbon and Whiskey decided to Join together for virtual meetups and tastings, as they were unable to meet in person.
These meetings led to the creation of meaningful friendships, and a strong desire to take the idea of the club to the next level. By the end of the pandemic – Just a few short years later – we have grown our community by many, and have even procured our first club barrel pick! This is a great group of individuals, and we look forward to having you join us!
POWELL BOURBON CLUB MISSION STATEMENT
To introduce the bourbon culture to its members while engaging in conversation and camaraderie. We will provide an environment where members can expand their bourbon knowledge and develop friendships while in casual, social settings.
Our Club’s Goals
Monthly Meetings
Our club plans on organized monthly meetings. These gatherings provide an opportunity for enthusiasts to meet and learn from each other, as well as the experts presenting for each brand. We strive to foster connections with fellow whiskey lovers and industry professionals. Join us on the third Tuesday of each month, so follow us and join to be sure to grab your tickets before they sell out!
Charitable Works
From its’ inception, the Powell Bourbon Club (PBC) has planned to contribute as much as possible to charities. We are eager to give back to our communities, and to worthy causes. We will be partnering with distilleries in their philanthropic efforts. Contributing to meaningful causes is one of the most rewarding aspects of being part of the PBC.
Private Barrel Picks
Just after officially forming our membership levels and our official organization, we were fortunate to participate in our inaugural barrel pick: a Cedar Brook Wheated Barrel Proof bourbon named “Wheat, Spice & Everything Nice.” Moving forward, we intend to participate in a variety of barrel picks that will be an excellent representation of the club’s tastes and experience. Joining at our “Barrel Proof” level includes your opportunity to join a selection team to make your very own pick!
